As a student of Qabala, I avoid putting myself in containers and boxes of culture, nationalism, religion, politics, ideology, etc.
And yet I am a full-blood Hebrew.
And I share the destiny of those who were chosen to be original niggahz (see shock rhetoric at www.libbyhome.blogspot.com ).
The Hebrews were originally chosen by mystery to be unlike all other nations, a nation without kings, a nation unconcerned by the concerns of man, concerns about material wealth, extent of territory, corporal security. (The people of the United States of America are learning what a futile thing it is to be a business-as-usual super power.) The Biblical Hebrews were chosen to be vital, out-of-the box, dynamic renouncers of static, stagnant, repetitious, business-as-usual circumstances. We were chosen to be only concerned with the things of the mystery. We were chosen to be the vehicle of humanity-to-be. We were chosen to be the recepients of more life in life in a time and space without boundaries.
The Hebrews broke the covenant during the time of the judge, Samuel, when they insisted on having a king.
They then found out what a futile, tragic thing it was to be a business-as-usual political/military kingdom, for they had chosen to be original niggahz.
The business-as-usual of organized Christianity, organized Islam, Mel Gibson is to be anti-Semitic. Mel Gibson has once-again demonstrated how fundamental the blood-libel is to organized Christianity. (The Koran also has its fundamental blood libel claiming that the Jews attempted to assasinate Mohammed.)
Israel is a nation most like all other nations, most concerned about security, most yearning for static, stagnant, repetitious circumstances.
In its pursuit of this always elusive security, Israel is bringing down upon itself the present psychotic constellation of the archetypes of apocalypse. This is the place that organized religions, very much including Judaism, will always go.
And yet it is always possible for original niggahz, and everyone else, to renew the original covenant with mystery and fortuna.
I am a patriotic Hebrew in the mode of that great Qabalist Albert Einstein who saw that the human reality was not a thing confined in boxes of space and time, who saw that space and time were themselves vital, dynamic, always becoming, creative agencies of reality, who saw that the human was the stuff that dreams are made of, who refused to become the symbolic, ceremonial president of business-as-usual Israel.
For those who have eyes, look at those who were the victims of 9/11, those who are the victims of the present conflagerations in the Middle East. In these times those who dedicate themselves to stagnant, static, repetitious circumstances, to the pursuit of security are the most likely to be the victims of the business-as-usual, organized religions', contellation of the psychotic archetypes of apocalypse.
The only security is the embracing of vital, dynamic insecurity. The only way to save your life is to lose your life of the business-as- usual.
